The whole “yer mom” joke started with Laurel, in the classic “guess what-chicken butt” mentality of second grade. The point was to insert “yer mom” into any given pause, situation, or random moment as possible, giving the speaker “a point” in the big game of life. “Yer mom” also refers to the Great Goddess, and is the most humerous way I know to invoke Her, as well as my actual mom, myself being a mom, and to reclaim all the bad crap put on mom’s through the patriarchal ages.
