What a stroke of fucking brilliance.
Beyond a café, more than a bookstore,
She is the goddess restored
to Life,
emerging powerfully
her warriors, her fairies,
her priestesses, her stories and tellers,
her brothers, her sisters, her friends and her lovers-
a conspiracy of joy
a passion for healing
embracing our freedom
and sharing the mystery.

I remember the first time.
I giggled, I gasped.
How gentle, how pretty,
how tender and true,
with a completely vegetarian menu.
I honor the avo, the tomatoes, the bagels, the hibi,
Chang-O, Yemaya, and of course Ukemochi.
The Salsa is sacred, the blood love of our ritual rites.
The kitchen is sanctuary for safe service and human kindness.
Praises for coffee
and chai with soy or with dairy.
Mixed baby greens and green goddess dressing.

How strong and intelligent
so peaceful too.
I promise to remember all that I’ve learned here,
how to love and beloved
continue to grow
trust in myself
don’t forget I’m connected.
